Layers Consulting Establishes Company in America ~Japanese Best Practices in an American Way~

TOKYO, JAPAN – February 5, 2014 – Layers Consulting, Ltd. (hereafter Layers) established and officially began business operations at subsidiary Layers Consulting America (hereafter Layers America) onFebruary 5th.
To accompany the acceleration of global business and the recovery of the American economy, manyJapanese companies have been reviewing their business strategies in America. In order to support Japanese companies’ new business expansions and reforms in the American market from a locally-based business,Layers established a local branch.
While Layers America and the Layers based in Japan closely work together, they will support Japanese companies’ headquarters and their on-site projects, and contribute to the establishment of optimum business models and the achievement of business goals in the American market. The main consulting services are supply chain for manufacturing companies that have a good track record in Japan, cost management, and business process reform that gives Japanese companies competitive power that makes use of their strengths. Nevertheless, if you compare this to before the Lehman Shock, I think there is still some room for development and expansion.
